Football Club Goa is an Indian professional football club based in Goa, that competes in the Indian Super League, the top flight of Indian football. The club was established on 26 August 2014.[7][8] Nicknamed as The Gaurs, the club plays their home matches at the Fatorda Stadium in Margao. FC Goa is the first ever Indian club to qualify for the AFC Champions League group stage in its current format.[9]
